BIG SCORES FOR DRINAN AND LEONARD

With Christmas out the way and New Year's celebrations still to come, many of the biggest names in the game settled in for online sessions over the weekend.

That proved to be a great idea for Connor "blanconegro" Drinan, who took down one of the biggest Winter Series tournaments. Drinan outlasted a 382-player field in the $2,100 Sunday Warm-Up PKO, banking $69,830 plus an additional $60,199 in bounties.

Drinan also finished fifth in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $16,368.

The winner of that High Roller was Patrick Leonard, who claimed the trophy and $46,837. PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree also made the final table, ultimately falling in ninth for $6,554.

Leonard also had a runner-up finish in the Winter Series $530, adding $66,018 to his weekend total.

When you sit down to play online poker, you have no idea who you're playing against. And since everybody can conceal behind a computer system screen, collusion is possible. We're talking about 2 or more poker gamers working together to take loan from another player and win more pots. On the surface, it seems easy to do. Visit from different IP addresses and play at the very same table. However safe poker sites employ complicated algorithms and anti-fraud departments to find irregular play among players and root out the cheaters.

Also a excellent indicator of a site's safety level is the size of its weekly guarantees. While not directly associated, a website that offers weekly warranties in upwards of $100,000 is amongst the safest. That's due to the fact that websites like these have the sponsorship to employ the strictest security procedures. And since they're making loads of cash in rake and tournament charges, you can rely on your money being safe and secure.

College Football Bowl Preview: New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

poker rules chart  :: SafeClub - More Poker, Less Cheating

The final leg of the college bowl season includes 11 games with six bowls on New Year's Eve and five more on New Year's Day including the long-standing Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl. There's some high-quality action with four Top 10 teams plus an angry UCF squad who were snubbed from the college football playoff.

Plus, Missouri and Oklahoma State will be a shootout in the Liberty Bowl featuring two of the more potent offenses in the country. And in the Redbox Bowl, you get a chance to catch a glimpse of Oregon's Justin Herbert, who is supposed to be the #1 ranked QB in the upcoming NFL draft.

MILITARY BOWL PRESENTED BY NORTHROP GRUMMAN (DEC. 31)

Cincinnati (10-2) vs. Virginia Tech (6-6)... Cincy is a 5-point favorite. You don't see too many 10-2 teams playing a barely bowl-eligible team at 6-6. Then again, non-Power Five teams get shafted by the Man all the time! Undefeated UCF got shut out of the playoff and fellow AAC conference member Cincy was relegated to a bowl that sounds like a faux bowl from an episode of The Simpsons.

HYUNDAI SUN BOWL (DEC. 31)

Stanford (8-4) vs. Pittsburgh (7-6)... Stanford is almost a touchdown favorite and riding a three-game...

The PSPC is now just two weeks away, and players from around the world are already focusing their efforts on being ready for the start of the biggest tournament of its kind.

A #PlatinumPass Christmas

With just a week left in 2018 we were running out of time to distribute the last of the year's Platinum Passes. Luckily Christmas offered us a chance to inform two cornerstones of the poker community they'll be spending part of January playing the PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

PokerStars department heads put their heads together and decided on two natural choices: Linda Johnson and Kevin "Kevmath" Mathers.

Arlie completes his final labour with some help from Joey Ingram

Meanwhile, Arlie Shaban's 12th and final labour looked like the toughest of them all: convince Joey Ingram to accept a Platinum Pass.

There's a lot of backstory that goes with all of this, but suffice it to say, literally no one but Joey knew what was going to...

If you take the time to browse a lot of chat rooms, info sites, and blog sites, you will see this concern turned up over and over once again. You'll also find time and time again that the remarks consist of: "Only aching losers are the ones grumbling." "Those who complain are just bad poker gamers." "Far too often, people do not have a large sufficient bankroll to remain in the video game, and feel cheated when they need to give in." In the end, the factor does not matter. Online poker sites that are genuine and have actually gone through 3rd party examination are, in fact, NOT rigged. online poker specialists have actually investigated long and hard to find any possible fraudulent activity. The theory recommends that there are more bad beats online and therefore the video game is rigged. In reality, there are greatly more games being played at one time online than in any live casino. The RNG is constantly at work, and online action is running much faster than any live game might ever run. Although it looks like though there is something awry, in fact your not sitting face to face with your challenger keeps you from becoming aware of the many qualities that generate different techniques to dealing with bad hands, or bad play in general.
