When you're feeling down in the dumps, sometimes all you want to do is hide away, curl up on the sofa, and watch a good movie. Or, y'know, you could go and win a €25,000 buy-in High Roller tournament. That will help, too.

Corentin Ropert: Welcome to the High Rollers

France's Corentin Ropert usually plays live events up to a maximum €2,000 buy-in, with the occasional EPT Main thrown in now and then. He'd had a lousy time at the poker tables so far on his Prague trip, and didn't feel motivated to play.

But then he read about how Belgium's Thomas Boivin, winner of Thursday's €25K Single Day High Roller for €375,520, had satellited in and taken down only the second €25K he'd ever played.

Ropert thought to himself, maybe I could do that too?

He could. And he did. And now he has €277,560 to show for it.

Ropert defeated Japan's Tsugunari Toma heads-up, having already outlasted the likes of Michael Addamo, Dietrich Fast, Norbert Szecsi, and Pavel Plesuv.

The genuine dispute was that Joe Norton, the sole male who was behind Ultimate Bet and Outright Poker, was the greatest ranking government official in this little 8,000 population appointment from 1980-2004, acting as the Grand Chief. Not surprisingly, they're from a major group of poker companies to owing individuals millions-- only to shut down and disappear leaving everyone empty handed.
